outside of interview prep, this book does provide a lot of good distributed computing fundamentals and provides lots of opportunities to go dig deep on a specific topic. I've enjoyed skimming through it! I can't say I've learned a huge amount but that probably has more to do with my experience than the book! If you havent done much system design / distributed / async work in practice ymmv and this is probably a great resource for you to kick off from.
